Marin Trogir - SCT SERVICE CENTER TROGIR

Historic Step Forward in a Historic City Marina Trogir Opened - Marina for the 21st Century

16.07.2014

A dream of many years has come true. The opening ceremony for the Marina Trogir, situated on the north side of the Trogir Shipyard, opposite the UNESCO City of Trogir, was held on 10th July this year with numerous distinguished guests.

For the first time since this area has been reserved for shipbuilding and repair, there has been a change for the better - diversification and development of new activities beside shipbuilding have begun.

The Marina is being constructed in three phases. In this, first, phase the Marina has 133 sea berths and 80 shore berths, as well as ancillary facilities, for vessels with an average size of about 19 meters. Four berths for 50 meter superyachts are also available.

After the completion of its construction, the Marina will be able to offer 256 berths for vessels from 12 to 25 meters and 30 berths for large yachts up to 120 meters in length.

The second phase is planned for 2015, and the third, final phase, by 2017. The newly improved area of the Marina completes the visual identity of the bay and offers numerous new services to nautical tourists. Besides protection, Marina Trogir also provides servicing and maintenance for their vessels. A restaurant, a snack bar, shops and a car park, as well as other nautical tourism facilities, will be available to nautical tourists.

The vision of the Servisni centar d.o.o. is to set new standards by offering complete servicing for all types of boats. Our aim is to provide the highest quality full service for all types of vessels. Our vision is our obligation, following from many years of tradition in shipbuilding and repair of all types of vessels (from commercial yachts to megayachts and superyachts) by our parent company Brodotrogir.

At the beginning of the ceremony, Ms. Jelena Manojlović, Mr. Danko Končar's wife, briefly greeted the attendees and added with satisfaction: "We have waited for so long for a marina, and, once the construction started, it was completed so quickly. The view of Trogir is not the same anymore". She used this opportunity to thank all workers and project engineers who designed and constructed the Marina, considering that the first phase of the Marina has been built in less than a year.

The opening ceremony was also attended by Mr. Zoran Milanović, Prime Minister, with his wife and three of his ministers: the Minister of Tourism Mr. Darko Lorencin, the Minister of Entrepreneurship Mr. Gordan Maras and the Minister of Administration Mr. Arsen Bauk. The Prime Minister Milanović has supported Brodotrogir in its efforts to successfully complete the restructuring process, with a large step towards its goal having been made by the construction of the first phase of Marina Trogir.

The Head of Splitsko-dalmatinska County, Mr. Zlatko Ževrnja, and the Trogir Mayor, Mr. Anto Stipčić, with their co-workers, also attended the ceremony. The esteemed guests were led by Mr. Danko Končar on a tour of the Marina and examined a model of the completed Marina simulating its appearance through all three construction phases.

During the evening, the guests enjoyed different programmes prepared especially for this occasion. All the attendees were impressed by the synergy of tradition and high technology: after the klapa singing, the laser show transformed the appearance of the Marina into a magical world of a thousand colours.
